Supporting the generation of Oman's contracted water capacity and the country's power capacity

Construction of large holding tanks and structures on a green field site adjacent to the existing Barka Power and Desalination plant. The tanks included the seawater intake, overflow, SEADAF, DMGF, Effluent Mixing Tank Structures included were 2No. Electrical Buildings, Sludge Building, various steel structures and number of foundations that will receive mechanical fittings. In addition, seawater intake towers were constructed which were pre-cast onshore and transported into place using floatation devices by the marine contractor.

The scope of work also included storm lagoon, facility security fencing, underground services, GRP piping, surface finishing plus concrete aprons, asphalt paving and brick paving.
