Our recent Food Poisoning Emergency Drill reflects this philosophy in action, reinforcing our proactive approach to risk management and workforce wellbeing.
Construction environments are dynamic, and many of our teams operate in remote locations where catering facilities are essential to daily operations. While strict food safety protocols are in place, responsible leadership demands that we prepare not only for prevention, but also for response. The drill was designed to test our readiness, communication channels and medical response procedures in the event of a suspected foodborne illness outbreak.
The exercise simulated a real-time escalation scenario, enabling site teams, medical personnel, camp management and leadership to coordinate under pressure. Clear reporting lines were activated, isolation protocols were implemented, and emergency medical procedures were rehearsed to ensure swift and structured intervention. The objective was simple yet critical: protect lives, contain risk and maintain operational integrity.
Beyond procedural compliance, the drill underscored our values in practice. We brought better to life by stress-testing our systems and identifying opportunities for improvement. We did it together through cross-functional collaboration and shared accountability. Our teams took pride in what they do by responding with professionalism and discipline.
