Douglas OHI has been awarded the prestigious RoSPA Gold Medal for the ninth time, recognising sustained excellence in health, safety, and wellbeing and reinforcing the company’s position as a leading regional safety-focused construction and engineering business.
The ninth Gold Medal reflects consecutive years of achieving RoSPA Gold standard performance and demonstrates Douglas OHI’s long-term commitment to embedding safety as a core business value, operational discipline, and leadership priority across all projects and operating locations.
The achievement comes as Douglas OHI marks 45 years of operations in the GCC, highlighting a legacy built on responsible delivery, workforce wellbeing, and consistent investment in robust safety systems, leadership engagement, and proactive risk management across Oman, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, alongside a growing regional presence.
The RoSPA Awards are among the most respected international benchmarks for occupational health and safety. Gold Medal status is reserved for organisations that demonstrate sustained excellence, mature management systems, and a deeply embedded culture focused on protecting people and supporting operational resilience.
Aaron Hennessy, Managing Director of Douglas OHI, added:
