Aaron Hennessy Appointed as Sustainability Ambassador for CIOB Oman Hub Committee

Douglas OHI is pleased to announce that Aaron Hennessy, Group Managing Director of Douglas OHI and Group COO of the OHI Group of Companies, has been appointed as the Sustainability Ambassador for the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Oman Hub Committee, effective 1 July 2025.

Aaron is a Chartered Environmentalist and Fellow of the CIOB, with nearly 30 years of experience in leading large-scale construction and engineering projects across multiple geographies, including Ireland, the UAE, Qatar, Libya, Liberia, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. He previously served as Chair of the CIOB Oman Hub and remains an active voice in the industry’s push towards higher professional and environmental standards.

Reflecting on his appointment, Aaron said:

“I’m genuinely honoured to return to the CIOB Oman Hub Committee in the capacity of Sustainability Ambassador. Sustainability in construction is no longer optional - it is a fundamental responsibility we all share. This role provides an opportunity to help shape how we embed environmental principles into project delivery, business culture, and professional development.
