Urgent
Estimator required
Working as part of a team with
the objective of securing
profitable future workload for
the business.
Responsibility for the
preparation of analytical cost
estimates for construction of
works, with minimum three years
experience in Oman in a similar
position working in all sectors
but to include industrial,
commercial, residential and
leisure, on projects up to RO10
million.
The candidate shall require
knowledge of all forms of
contract including traditional,
partnering and design & build.
maintain a strong technical
construction knowledge as well
as a keen understanding of
current building regulations and
other industry standards
Duties include:
- Appraisal of tender
documents.
- Preparation of material
and sub-contract enquiries.
- Visit site to identify
site specific risks.
- Preparation of
analytical cost estimates
including preliminaries
- Adjudication and
comparison of sub contractor
quotations.
- Presentation of the cost
estimate to senior
management at tender
settlement meetings.
Skills:
- Sound technical and
commercial abilities incl.
stong numerical skills.
- Computer skills
essential, experience of
estimating software
preferred but not essential
as training will be given.
- Abiity to work as a team
member, or on own
initiative.
- Ability to communicate
effectively.
- Abilty to work to tight
deadlines.
- Having a professional
approach to work.
